mixing is at the core of music making for me. i view mixing as a creative process, rather than purely a utility for music. dynamic range is important in my mixes, it can change the entire outlook of a song, making a song that once felt flat or one dimensional feel expansive through peaks and valleys. ultimately, my goal in a mix is to best showcase the composition and performance.

i began engineering and recording my own music at the end of 2018. this led to me offering to lend a hand to friends and family when they needed someone to set up microphones, set levels, etc., with no idea i was developing a skill set of recording music. my job as an engineer is to best capture the emotion and feeling of the artists performance. i have years of experience recording in a daw and in the past year have picked up 4/8 track tape recording.

general production of your album/project from the early stages of an idea to the fully fleshed out version of your idea. the concept of a producer can mean so many different things, and i am happy to accommodate whatever it may be that you’re looking for in a producer.

when i began playing gigs, i would bring a portable recording set up as a way to document my shows as well as the other performers. this led to a natural realization that what i was doing could be realesed as live albums/recordings or demos to send to labels. i have recorded and mixed live concerts from harsh noise, to slowcore, to jazz, and to post-hardcore all with the focus of capturing and best representing the performance of the artist.

writing arrangements is perhaps my favorite thing to do as a musician. i love filling in the pieces to a puzzle that i may not have known were even there at the beginning. i have been writing arrangements for my own and others music for over half a decade and am confident in my ability to fill space in interesting and different ways, as well as create space for other instruments in the arrangement.

in my scores, i hope to continue to build the world of your film. i tend to compose stripped back scores with strong melodic and harmonic motifs, with a focus on electro-acoustic elements.
